1. Who We Are

Bouncing Ball Creations ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent mobile app developer operating at bouncingballcreations.com. This Privacy Policy applies to all apps and services we publish, as well as this website.

2. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with our apps and website, we may collect the following:

Information you provide directly — such as your name and email address when you contact us through our website contact form or in-app support.

Usage and analytics data — non-personally identifiable information such as app crash reports, feature usage statistics, and device type. This data is collected in aggregate and cannot be used to identify you individually.

Purchase information — if you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

3. Trading Recorder Pro — Account and Trade Data

Trading Recorder Pro requires an account, so it collects more than our other apps. This section sets out exactly what that involves.

Account information — when you create an account we collect your first name, last name, and email address. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash. It is never kept, logged, or transmitted in readable form, and nobody at Bouncing Ball Creations can see it.

Your trading records — the trades you enter or import, including symbol, direction, entry and exit prices, stop loss and target, quantity, entry and exit dates and times, fees, setup type, any notes you write, the mistake, emotion and setup-grade tags you choose (for example "FOMO", "Anxious" or "Grade A"), chart screenshots you attach (Pro), and the daily journal entries and goals you write, are stored on our servers so your journal survives a lost or replaced phone and syncs between your devices. Emotion tags are optional and describe how you felt about a trade; they are used only to show you your own results. These records are yours. We do not analyse them for advertising, share them, or sell them.

Insights and Rules — the Insights, the weekly rules scorecard and the warnings on the trade form are worked out on your device from your own trades. The trading rules you set (for example "Stop after 2 losses in a day") are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers, except as described for the AI Trade Coach below. If you have added your own Massive market data key, the app also downloads S&P 500 (SPY) daily prices from Massive directly to your device, once a day, to show how market trend and volatility affect your results. That data is kept only on your device.

AI Trade Coach (optional) — the AI Trade Coach writes a review of your trading. When you ask for one, our server reads your closed trades for the period you choose and works out your statistics. You then choose which AI writes the review:

— On-device AI (free): on supported phones the review is written by the AI model built into your phone (Apple Intelligence on iPhone, or Gemini Nano on Android through Google's AICore). The summary of your statistics is processed on your phone and is not sent to Apple, Google or any other AI company by Trading Recorder Pro. Apple's and Google's own handling of their on-device models is covered by their privacy policies.

— Claude with your own API key: if you add your own Anthropic API key, it is encrypted and stored only on your device (in the Android Keystore or the iOS Keychain) and is never sent to our servers. Before the first review the app asks for your permission. Your device then sends a summary of your trading for that period directly to Anthropic: your statistics, the trades in the period (symbol, direction, prices, stop, target, quantity, P&L, dates and times, setup, tags and the first part of your notes), the rules you have set and the action plan from your previous review. Your name and email address are not sent. Anthropic receives this data, your API key and your IP address under its own terms and privacy policy, and bills your Anthropic account for the request. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models.

With either option, the finished review, the statistics it was based on, the AI model's name and, for Claude, the number of tokens used are saved to your Trading Recorder Pro account so your past reviews appear on all your devices. Deleting your account deletes them. Removing your Anthropic key in the app, or deleting the app, removes the key from your device. Trading Recorder Pro is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Anthropic, Apple or Google.

Importing trades from a broker file (optional) — Trading Recorder Pro can import trade history from a CSV file you export from your broker (such as Tradovate, Interactive Brokers or Charles Schwab) or from a custom CSV. You choose the file on your device; the trades in it are added to your journal and stored like trades you enter by hand. The app does not connect to your brokerage account, and we never see or store your brokerage username, password or account access.

What we never collect — we never ask for, receive, or store brokerage login credentials, account numbers, or payment card information.

Ads in the free version — the free version of Trading Recorder Pro shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Pro subscribers see no ads. See section 7, Advertising, for what this involves.

Subscription status — if you subscribe, the App Store or Google Play processes the payment and tells us only whether your subscription is currently active. Your card details never reach us.

Stored on your device — a sign-in token is kept on your phone so you are not asked to log in every time you open the app. Signing out or deleting your account removes it.

Market data with your own API key (optional) — Trading Recorder Pro lets you add a personal API key from a third-party market data provider (such as Massive, formerly Polygon.io, Alpha Vantage or Finnhub) to look up prices. Your key is encrypted and stored only on your device (in the Android Keystore or the iOS Keychain). It is never sent to our servers, and we never see it. When you look up a price, your device contacts that provider directly, so the provider receives your key, the symbol you requested and your IP address, under its own privacy policy and terms. Price lookups are not sent to us, and saved lookup symbols stay on your device. Removing a key in the app, or deleting the app, removes it from your device. Trading Recorder Pro is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any of these providers.

Broker Sync with your own API access (optional, Pro) — Trading Recorder Pro lets you connect your own account at a supported broker or exchange (such as Alpaca, Tradier, tastytrade, Charles Schwab, TradeStation, Interactive Brokers, Tradovate, Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Binance.US or Robinhood Crypto) using API access that you create in that account. Your API keys, tokens and sign-in details are encrypted and stored only on your device (in the Android Keystore or the iOS Keychain). They are never sent to our servers, and we never see them. Your Tradovate password, if you use Tradovate, is used only to sign in and is not stored. When you sync, your device contacts your broker directly to read your trade history, so the broker receives your credentials and your IP address under its own privacy policy and terms. Only the closed trades you choose to import are saved to your Trading Recorder Pro account, the same as trades you enter by hand. Broker Sync only reads your trade history: it never places, changes or cancels orders and never moves money. Disconnecting a broker in the app, or deleting the app, removes its credentials from your device. Trading Recorder Pro is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any broker or exchange.

Markets tab — the Markets tab shows public information published by U.S. government sources: the U.S. Treasury, the Federal Reserve, FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis), the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the SEC and the CFTC. Our server collects this public data and your app downloads it from our server. Viewing it does not send your personal information or trading records to these agencies. Tapping a headline opens the publisher's own website.

Token Scanner (Pro) — the Token Scanner requests public cryptocurrency market data directly from your device to DEX Screener, RugCheck and GeckoTerminal. Those services receive the token addresses or search terms you look up and your IP address. Your filters, presets and watchlist are stored only on your device.

Deleting your account — you can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the menu in the top-right corner and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, every trade you have logged from our servers, and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by emailing contactus@bouncingballcreations.com, or follow the full instructions on our account deletion page. Deletion also removes your chart screenshots, synced journal entries and goals, and saved AI Trade Coach reviews. Data stored only on your device (API keys, broker credentials, rules and cached market data) is removed when you delete the app.

4. How We Use Your Information

Any information we collect is used exclusively for the following internal purposes:

— To respond to your support requests and inquiries.
— To diagnose technical issues and improve app performance.
— To understand how our apps are used so we can build better features.
— To send important updates about apps you use, only when necessary.

We do not use your account details or trading records for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose beyond the direct operation of our company and products. Ads in the free version of Trading Recorder Pro are delivered by Google as described in section 7.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Information

We may share information only in the limited circumstances required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal process such as a court order or subpoena — and only to the minimum extent required.

To show ads in the free version of Trading Recorder Pro, Google’s advertising software in the app shares device identifiers with Google, as described in section 7. We do not receive your advertising ID, and we never sell your account details or trading records to anyone.

6. Third-Party Services

Our apps and website may use third-party services (such as app store platforms, analytics providers, or form processors) that operate under their own privacy policies. We carefully select partners who maintain strong privacy standards. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

Optional market data features in Trading Recorder Pro connect your device directly to third-party data services: market data providers you choose to add a key for (Massive, Alpha Vantage, Finnhub) and, in the Token Scanner, DEX Screener, RugCheck and GeckoTerminal. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you are responsible for following the terms of any provider whose key you add. Broker Sync, if you use it, connects your device directly to the broker or exchange you choose, under that company's own terms and privacy policy.

The AI Trade Coach uses either the AI built into your phone (Apple Intelligence or Google's Gemini Nano through AICore) or, if you add your own key, Anthropic's Claude API. When you use Claude, your device sends your trading summary directly to Anthropic, and your use of the Claude API is governed by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy (anthropic.com/legal/privacy). You are responsible for any charges on your Anthropic account and for following its terms.

7. Advertising (Trading Recorder Pro free version)

The free version of Trading Recorder Pro displays banner and full-screen ads, and offers an optional “watch an ad for 5 more entries” reward. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. Pro subscribers do not see ads.

To deliver ads, the Google Mobile Ads software inside the app may collect and send to Google:

— Your device’s advertising ID and other device identifiers.
— Your IP address and the approximate location derived from it.
— Device and app information, such as model, operating system and app version.
— How you interact with ads, such as views and taps.

Google uses this information to show ads, measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud. Whether ads are personalized depends on your choices: users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where consent is required are asked for consent when they first use the app, and can change it later. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

When you choose to watch a reward ad, Google confirms to our server that the ad was completed, together with your Trading Recorder Pro account ID, so we can add the bonus entries to your account. We do not receive your advertising ID from this confirmation.

Learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To use Trading Recorder Pro without ads, upgrade to Pro from within the app.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical measures to protect any information in our care from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

10. Children's Privacy

Our apps and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Financial App Disclaimer

The tools, calculations, projections, and information provided within our financial apps should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional financial guidance. Always consult a licensed financial advisor, certified financial planner (CFP), or other qualified professional in the appropriate field before making any financial decisions. Bouncing Ball Creations assumes no liability for any financial decisions made based on the use of our apps.

Market data, economic data, headlines, futures positioning and token information shown in Trading Recorder Pro come from third parties and public sources. They may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and are provided for information only. A "PASS" result in the Token Scanner only means a token met the filters you chose; it is not a safety guarantee or a recommendation. Insights, rule warnings and AI Trade Coach reviews are generated automatically from your own records. AI-generated reviews can be inaccurate and are not financial advice. See our Disclaimer for details.

12. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our apps or website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
